ABOUT JSSATE

Jagadguru Sree Shivarathishwara Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore (commonly, JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore orJSSATEB) is an engineering college in Bangalore, India established in 1997 and managed by JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore. The JSSATE campus is located in on a hilly and picturesque 21 acre JSSATE campus, surrounded by lush green plantation, on the Uttarahalli-Kengeri main road within close proximity to Rajarajeshwari Nagar on the southwestern edge of Bangalore City. The JSSATE college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education. JSSATE was established in the year 1997 at Bangalore and is under the umbrella of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore. JSSATE is the result of the vision of our president, His holiness Sri Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra mahaswamiji to proactively participate in establishing a world class institution for technical education. The JSSATE Campus is located in a sprawling 21.17 acres land surrounded by lush green plantation on the South-Western edge of Bangalore City.JSSATE Institution is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological university(VTU),Belgaum.

JSSATE LIBRARY

The JSSATE-Bangalore Library is a veritable feast of knowledge and is available to students and faculty. JSSATE library is housed presently in ground floor of the college building with 600-sq.mts.carpet area. JSSATE Library has a comprehensive collection of literature predominantly related to engineering, management, and its allied subjects to meet the present and future information needs of the users. The JSSATELibrary is currently headed by the Mrs.Lakshmi Basappa. The JSSATE Library has a collection of about 28,000 documents. The JSSATE Library subscribes to important technical journals. The JSSATE Library also has access to good number of e-journals from renowned publishers IEEE, ASME etc. to facilitate speedy online access to journals.  A quite good collection of CD’s and floppies will supplements teaching and research works for potential users. The JSSATE Infrastructure has a centralizedJSSATE Library with open access facility for JSSATE  students. There is also a book bank facility for needy students to borrow the books for the entire semester. In addition no. of CD’s are available for JSSATE students to barrow on overnight basis . EntireJSSATE Library is computerized to facilitate smooth functioning. Digital JSSATELibrary is established to access JSSATE Library on line database and JSSATE Library online Journals. Photocopying facility is also provided  JSSATE Departmental Libraries are also setup by all the major departments. JSSATE has an excellent infrastructure with the state-of-the art equipment and machinery as laboratory facilities.The JSSATE  institution has spacious classrooms and the laboratories. The whole JSSATE building is networked and has centralized browsing facility with 16 Mbps dedicated internet bandwidth . JSSATE Entire college is equipped with Wi-Fi facility.

The JSSATE  institute has highly qualified faculty.The JSSATE  institute has initiated number of multi disciplinary and multi institutional R&D programmes with AICTE, DST and other departments. Under the R & D activity , the design and fabrication of BIO-Diesel plant by the institute in collabration with an industry and sponsered by Department of science & Technology, Government of India has been recognized as one of the best completed project and same is being replicated in different states. TheJSSATE  institute has a centralized JSSATE library with open access facility for students. JSSATE Digital library with on-line access to international journals are available. There is a book bank facility for needy students .
